In ancient Roman times, the site of the castle was once the location of a wealthy villa belonging to a Roman patrician. Later, in the 12th century, a Norman tower was built here. Finally, in the 16th century, the tower was surrounded by defensive walls, expanded, and transformed into the castle we see today.
The garden overlooking the sea, where your ceremony will take place, was acquired in the 18th century.
